CBA: Jilin extend losing streak to five with defeat to Zhejiang

CHANGCHUN, China, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- Von Wafer scored a game-high 38 points while Jilin lost to Zhejiang 116-102 in the 32nd round of Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday night.

With a three-pointer from Wu Qian, the visiting Zhejiang demonstrated their superiority early in the game. Zhejiang took the lead with the score of 28-22 when the first quarter ended.

Although Carl Landry and Von Wafer tried to cut the gap for Jilin, Zhejiang strengthened its offence and controlled the pace of the game.

In the second half, Landry led Jilin to hit a 9-0 run before Lu Wenbo, Wu Qian and Zhang Dayu consecutive scored for Zhe Jiang and kept a double-digit advantage to take the victory at 116-102.

Jilin extended their losing streak to five games.

Von Waver scored 38 points and 9 rebounds. Landry collected 30 points and 12 rebounds while Zhang Biao contributed 12 points for Jilin.

Five players scored double digits for Zhejiang. Jarnell Stokes pocketed 31 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Wu Qian got 22 points while Lu Wen bo had 20 points, Zhang Dayu had 17 points and 5 rebounds. Sonny Weems contributed 16 points and 10 assists.
