WINDHOEK, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Namibia's national airline Air Namibia has postponed the commencement of the Windhoek-Lagos-Accra flight operation, which was initially set on March 25, citing external factors.

Air Namibia's Corporate Communications Officer Twaku Kayofa said in a statement on Wednesday that the external factors include the non-availability of departure slot at Kotoka airport in Accra, Ghana, to support the initial scheduled departure at 22:05.

Kayofa said that the new date for the commencement of the flight route has now been moved to June 29.

According to Kayofa, days of operation remain unchanged, departing from Windhoek on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, using Airbus A319 fleet.

Last year, Air Namibia announced the development of the flight route, which they said fitted in with their growing business as they sought to increase the airlines footprint on the African Continent.
