Mitsubishi vehicles to be recalled in China for windshield wiper fault

BEIJING, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- GAC Mitsubishi Motors will recall 180,348 vehicles in China that may have problematic windshield wipers, according to China's top quality regulator.

GAC Mitsubishi Motors, a joint venture between GAC and Mitsubishi Motors, filed the recall with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

The recall, which will begin on April 13 this year, is for Mitsubishi ASX SUV models manufactured between Oct. 26, 2012 and Dec. 26, 2016, according to the administration.

Mitsubishi will fix problems that could cause the windshield wipers to malfunction.

The faulty parts will be replaced free of charge.
