Hong Kong stocks close 0.12 pct lower

HONG KONG, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed down 39.13 points, or 0.12 percent, to 31,501.97 points on Friday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 31,337.45 and 31,564.78. Turnover totaled 143.66 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 18.31 billion U.S. dollars).
