TEHRAN, April 1 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted Iran's Kermanshah province on Sunday, Iran's Seismological Center reported.
The epicenter of the earthquake, which took place at 13:05 a.m. local time (0835 GMT), was in Sar pol zahab city.
The quake was determined at the depth of 8 km, 34.421 degrees north latitude and 45.807 degrees east longitude.
No immediate reports about the casualties or damage has been released so far, local media reported.
