KAMPALA, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Uganda's cricket team was in good form on Easter Sunday as they defeated the visiting Saudi Arabian national cricket team by 67 runs in an international friendly match played at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.

The hosts were captained by Roger Mukasa and came out strongly after losing against the same side on Saturday.

Uganda won the toss and posted 210/1 in 30 overs. The Saudi Arabian team chased and could only manage 143/1 in 30 overs. The match was reduced to 30 over per side after rain hampered play.

Mukasa top scored with 59 runs. The captain was well supported by Hamu Kayondo Bagenda and Simon Ssesazi who scored 40 and 36 runs respectively.

"I am happy that after losing the first Twenty20 game on Friday and another 50-over game on Saturday, the batsmen were in good form today and played well. The fielding was also tight," said Uganda's coach Steve Tikolo.

Saudi Arabia's coach Aaron Ward said that although the wet conditions did not help them, they will return strongly for the fourth game.

While Saudi Arabia are using the first games against Uganda to prepare for the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup T20 regional qualifier to be played in Kuwait next month, Uganda are preparing for the ICC World Cricket League Division Four tournament taking place later in April.
