BEIJING, April 6(Xinhua) -- Beijing Guoan failed to claim their fourth consecutive win in the Chinese Super League as they were held by Tianjin Teda 1-1 here on Friday.

Guoan's coach Roger Schmidt said:"It's regret that we could not continue our winning streak, today we found our tempo quickly and took the lead, but we gave Teda too much space and then got punished. Obviously we were not in the best form, so we should get well prepared for the next fixture."

Beijing Guoan broke the deadlock at 10 minutes, as Jonatan Soriano shook off two defenders and fired. Du Jia parried the Spanish first attempt, but could do nothing to his follow-up.

Teda strengthened their attack after that and got it back on level terms in the 28th minute. Then Guo Hao's long pass found Frank Acheampong, who resisted a shoulder-to-shoulder challenge and hit a volley to beat Hou Sen.

Wei Shihao squandered a good chance when he was sent clear by Renato Augusto, but his shot was too weak to surprise Du Jia.

The away side should've taken the lead on 57 minutes but Gao Runjia smacked the woodwork in a close range while at the other end Soriano looped over the bar.

Both sides had several chances later but they were toothless and unable to turn the game around.
