Dollar stays in lower 107 yen following Japan-U.S. summit

TOKYO, April 19 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar stayed in the lower 107 yen zone Thursday in Tokyo following a summit between Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and U.S. President Donald Trump.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 107.28-30 yen compared with 107.19-29 yen in New York and 107.30-31 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday. It moved between 107.19 yen and 107.52 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.2388-2389 dollars and 132.90-94 yen against 1.2369-2379 dollars and 132.64-74 yen in New York and 1.2364-2365 dollars and 132.67-71 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon.
