Uganda to face off with South Sudan in 2019 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier

ENTEBBE, Uganda, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Uganda's U-20 national football team, Hippos, will on Saturday face off with neighboring South Sudan in a return leg of the 2019 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Skipper Julius Poloto told Xinhua that although they comfortably won the first leg, they will not be complacent in the return leg.

"We shall go all out to make sure we win away from home and qualify to face Cameroon at the next stage," said Poloto who features for Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC.

The Hippos humbled South Sudan 5-1 in the first leg encounter in Kampala.

The 2019 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Niger.

The tournament is the main international youth football competition for Confederation of African Football member associations. It is held every two years with the top four teams qualifying for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
