SARAJEVO, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH) integration to the European Union (EU) and bilateral ties between BiH and Slovenia were in the focus of meeting of leaders of the two countries here on Thursday.

Visiting Slovenian President Borut Pahor and members of BiH tripartite presidency said bilateral relations between the two countries were good with increasing trade of late, a statement by the BiH presidency's office said.

The two sides underlined the common commitments to promotion and enhancement of neighborhood and bilateral relations. In this respect, they emphasized the "need for further regional cooperation on the European perspective, security and migration in the framework of current initiatives."

BiH presidency members were unified in saying that BiH is committed to obtaining EU candidate status and they expressed their gratitude to Slovenia for supporting their process of European integration.

Addressing the 9th Sarajevo Business Forum on Wednesday, Pahor underlined good relations between the two countries, adding Slovenia fully supported BiH in its aspirations to join the EU and NATO.

"We are ready to share with you all the experiences and to see you as soon as possible in the EU and NATO," Pahor said.
