Dollar trades in lower 109 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, May 14 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 109 yen range in early deals in Tokyo on Monday, largely unchanged from its levels late last week in New York.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 109.33-34 yen compared with 109.33-43 yen in New York and 109.33-35 yen at 5 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1952-1952 dollars and 130.68-72 yen against 1.1936-1946 dollars and 130.51-61 yen in New York and 1.1907-1908 dollars and 130.18-22 yen in late Friday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
