DUBAI, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Although German football club Hamburger Sport-Verein (HSV) failed to remain in the Bundesliga and will play in the second division in 2018/2019, United Arab Emirates (UAE) carrier Emirates Airline will fulfill its sponsorship contract with HSV.
Asked by Xinhua whether the UAE's international carrier will continue to sponsor HSV, an Emirates spokesperson said that they will stay with the club during the contracted period. The sponsorship deal is set to expire in June 2019.
Last Saturday Hamburg was relegated for the first time in the club's history despite a 2-1 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach in front of 57,000 spectators in the club's Volksparkstadion. Enditem
