SANAA, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Yemen's Houthi rebels fired a ballistic missile at the King Faisal Military Base in the southern Saudi city of Jazan on Tuesday, the Houthi-controlled Saba news agency reported.

Saba said the missile hit the target accurately, while state-run Al Arabiya TV station cited the Saudi-led coalition forces as saying in a statement that the missile was "intercepted over Jazan."

Saudi Arabia has been leading an Arab military coalition against Houthis in support of the Yemeni exiled government over the last three years.

Border cities in Saudi Arabia have been the most targeted in such missile attacks, with the majority said to have been intercepted.

On Monday, the Houthis fired a ballistic missile at the distribution center of the oil giant Saudi Aramco company in Jazan, but Saudi state media said the missile fell into a desert near the city.
