BEILUN, East China, May 17 (Xinhua) -- The Dominican Republic lost all its games at the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Nations League tournament in Beilun.

The Dominicans lost 3-2 (25-16, 18-25, 25-18, 19-25, 15-7) to Belgium on Thursday and it was their third loss in a row at the tournament. They narrowly missed out against South Korea on Wednesday, falling to the Asians in five sets, after losing their first match 3-0 to China.

Belgium won its first match against South Korea before losing in straight sets to China on Wednesday.

"I thought it was a difficult match. We had made some mistakes in some important moments. It is not allowed to make mistakes in such important moments," Dominican coach Marcos Kwiek said.

"Mistakes are what decide a game and they will definitely lead to failure. I enjoyed this game, however, as both our teams were in fighting spirit," Belgian coach Gert Vande Broek said.

Later on Thursday evening, reigning Olympic champions and world No. 1 China will meet South Korea in the last match of the women's VNL Pool 2 tournament.
