RIO DE JANEIRO, May 24 (Xinhua) -- Shakhtar Donetsk's Brazilian midfielder Fred said Thursday he will wait until after this summer's Word Cup in Russia to decide where he will play next season.

The 25-year-old has been linked with Manchester City and Manchester United, with the latter reportedly willing to pay 50 million euros for his signature.

Speaking to reporters at Brazil's pre-World Cup training base in Teresopolis, near Rio de Janeiro, Fred said that his agent - former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva - is dealing with the negotiations.

"I'm letting him take care of it. I trust him a lot," Fred told a press conference. "I prefer to focus on what happens on the pitch. I'm not going to say which club I'm going to choose. After the World Cup I'll be able to better decide which place is best for me."

When asked how he felt about being pursued by two of football's most successful coaches - United's Jose Mourinho and City's Pep Guardiola - Fred replied: "I think I offer a lot because I can play in several positions and I think that some coaches see value in that."

"Versatility, quality on the ball and good passing are characteristics that attract the attention of some coaches."

Brazil will travel to London on Sunday before meeting Croatia and Austria in friendlies on June 3 and 10, respectively.

The five-time world champions will begin their World Cup campaign against Switzerland in Rostov on June 17.
