JAKARTA, June 7 (Xinhua) -- The men's doubles pair in the Indonesian badminton squad is expected to repeat their victory in a 2015 world tourney during the upcoming Asian Games, a coach said here Thursday.

A coach of the Indonesian badminton squad who goes by a single name Herry said that during the world badminton championship which took place in Indonesia three years ago, the country's men's doubles pair Hendra Setiawan and Mohammad Hasan emerged as champions.

"It is a moment which is difficult for me to forget," he said.

The Indonesian badminton association has set a one gold medal target during the Games, but athletes are encouraged to secure medals over the expectation.

"The target is one gold for badminton, but still the association has urged the athletes to get them secure more than that," he said.

Host Indonesia expect to post the 10th rank in the Games with about 20 gold medals.

The 18th Asian Games are scheduled to be held in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta and in Palembang city, the provincial capital of South Sumatra province from August 18 to September 2.
