TORONTO, June 15 (Xinhua) -- Canadian's main stock market edged down Friday as energy sector declined.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's benchmark Standard & Poor's/TSX Composite Index edged down 14.54 points, or 0.09 percent, to close the day 16,314.42 points.
The Canadian dollar lost 0.51 to 0.75.8 U.S. dollar.
The energy group was the heaviest sector drag, plunging 32.3 points.
Canada Goose Holdings Inc surged up 30 percent and Paramount Resources Ltd rose four percent, while Prometic Life Sciences Inc climbed 3.3 percent.
Precision Drilling Corp dropped 7.1 percent and First Majestic Silver Corp fell 5.8 percent while Teck Resources Ltd declined 5.3 percent.
The most heavily traded shares by volume were Prometic Life Sciences Inc,Bombardier Inc and Cenovus Energy Inc. Enditem
