BERLIN, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Eintracht Frankfurt have loaned Aymen Barkok to newly promoted Fortuna Dusseldorf, both Bundesliga clubs announced on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joins Dusseldorf from league rivals Frankfurt after penning a loan deal, which includes an option to make the deal permanent, until June 2019.
"Despite his young age Aymen has already gained a lot of experience in Germany's top flight. He is a strong midfielder who convinces with a good technique and great willingness to run," Dusseldorf head coach Friedhelm Funkel said.
Barkok plays since summer 2013 for the "Eagles" where he has made 27 appearances, providing two goals and three assists.
"I am delighted that my transfer worked out. For the upcoming season I have one clear goal, to make my contribution that Dusseldorf maintain their top flight status in the Bundesliga," Barkok said.
Dusseldorf completed the season 2017-2018 on the first place in Bundesliga's second division and secured their promotion to play their 24th season in Germany's top flight.
