JERUSALEM, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Israel imported 60 percent more products than exported in June, said a monthly report of foreign trade published Thursday by Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics.
In June, Israel's import of goods was 24 billion Israeli new shekels (6.59 billion U.S. dollars), and its export of products was 14.8 billion new shekels.
The leading export in June was industrial commodities, mining, and quarrying, accounting for 91 percent of all exports. Eight percent was diamonds, and one percent was agriculture, forestry and fishing products.
The leading import in June was raw materials, accounting for 41 percent of all imports.
About 23 percent of the imports was diamonds, fuels, ships, and aircraft, 19 percent consumer goods, and 17 percent machinery equipment and land vehicles.
Exported goods in the first half of 2018 constituted 67 percent of the imports, compared with 78 percent in the same months last year.
