KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 (Xinhua) -- A man from China's Hong Kong, who was missing during a triathlon competition held in Malaysia's Port Dickson waters, was found dead on Monday morning by a search and rescue team, the Star newspaper reported.

During the competition on Sunday, 42-year-old Yuen Chi Yuen was supposed to start the cycling phase after a 1.5-km swimming, but his wife reported to the organizer later that Yuen did not show up at the beach.

It was the second death in the competition, which involved more than 2,300 participants. On Sunday, a 39-year-old Malaysian was found drowning in the water, possibly due to rough seas.

Doubt has been cast over the organizer, who is accused of failing to halt the competition when high waves were reported before the competition started.

Malaysia's Minister of Youth and Sports Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has ordered an investigation into whether the competition is in compliance with certain regulations.
