Blast wounds 7 civilians in Afghan northern Maimana city

MAIMANA, Afghanistan, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Seven civilians sustained injuries in a blast that rocked Maimana city, the capital of northern Faryab province on Wednesday, provincial police spokesman Abdul Karim Yurash said.

"The blast happened at 09:00 a.m. local time today, leaving seven civilians injured including a 12-year old child," Yurash told Xinhua.

Without providing more details, the official said that investigation is underway and details would be made public after completion of investigation.
