Turkmenistan's wrestler commits first doping violation at Asian Games, reports

JAKARTA, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- Turkmenistan wrestler Rustem Nazarov became the first to commit doping violation at the Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games, according to reports on Friday.

Nazarov tested positive of masking agent furosemide in the Aug. 17 pre-competition test, according to AFP.

The wrestler has been eliminated from round of 16 in men's 57kg freestyle.

Following the first doping case at the 18th Asian Games currently held in Indonesia, Nazarov was disqualified from the tournament and his results were annulled following the finding.

The the Olympic Council of Asia's medical commission already notified both the Turkmenistan NOC and athlete of the decision, local media Jakarta Post said.
