JAKARTA, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- Chinese cyclist Wang Hong won the silver medal of the track cycling women's 3,000m individual pursuit at the 2018 Asian Games here on Thursday.

South Korean Lee Jumi, who set an Asian record with a time of three minutes and 33.048 seconds in the qualifying round, defeated Wang in the final to take the gold.

Huang Ting Ying of Chinese Taipei snatched the bronze medal by defeating Priatna Ayustina Delia of Indonesia.

In the individual pursuit, riders start on the opposite ends of the track, and the race ends when one rider catches the other.
