DUBAI, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Friday sent a cable of congratulations to Brazil's President Michel Temer on his country's Independence Day, UAE state news agency WAM reported.
Other senior UAE officials like Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also sent similar cables of congratulations on the occasion.
Michel Temer is serving as the 37th President of Brazil, and he took office in August 2016.
The non-oil trade exchange between the UAE and Brazil reached some 2.7 billion U.S. dollars in 2016, according to WAM.
