MAR DEL PLATA, Argentina, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- The G20 Trade and Investment Ministerial Meeting began in Argentinian coastal city Mar del Plata on Friday, with more than 35 member delegates taking part.

Chaired by Argentine Foreign Affairs Minister, Jorge Faurie, and Minister of Production and Labor, Dante Sica, the meeting will tackle ways to achieve a more inclusive trade system that contributes to fair and sustainable development.

Ministers will discuss current and future trade prospects, challenges and opportunities presented by existing trade tensions, and the inclusion of small and medium sized businesses to the supply chain of global agriculture.

Agriculture has taken a central role in discussion after Argentina's President Mauricio Macri set a "sustainable food future" as a priority during his nation's G20 presidency this year.

Friday's meeting is one of many due to take place ahead of the G20 summit in Buenos Aires between November 31 - December 1.
