SHENYANG, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Eleven people are missing after a ship carrying sand sank in seas off northeast China's Liaoning Province, local authorities said Sunday.
The accident occurred at around 3 a.m. and the maritime search and rescue center of Huludao City received a report at around 5 a.m.
The provincial maritime search and rescue center and the city government have dispatched ships, aircraft and more than 500 rescuers to search for the missing.
The investigation of the accident is underway.
