TEHRAN, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- Iran's new ambassador to Seoul said a "comprehensive plan" has been developed aiming at expansion of bilateral ties with South Korea, Financial Tribune daily reported on Monday.

"The plan will address expansion of relations in political, economic, commercial, cultural and parliamentary areas," Saeed Badamchi Shabestari was quoted as saying.

The fact that Tehran-Seoul relations have been founded on "realities" will deepen the bilateral ties despite the U.S. "hostile" and "unilateral" actions, he said.

Last month, Iran announced that South Korea has stopped Iran's oil imports under the pressures by the United States.
