GAZA, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Israeli war aircraft carried out on Friday night airstrikes on military facilities that belong to militant groups in the Gaza Strip with no injuries reported, according to security sources in Gaza.

Israeli war planes fired one missile at an empty field east of Rafah town in the Gaza Strip, and another airstrike was carried out on a military facility in the central Gaza Strip.

The Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip came shortly after barrages of rockets were fired from the coastal enclave into southern Israel. Israeli army intercepted the rockets, and few of the rockets fell on empty fields.

The firing came shortly after four Palestinians were killed and 232 injured on Friday during the weekly anti-Israel rallies, known as the "Great March of Return."

Palestinian security sources in Gaza said Friday that Israeli army aircraft attacked with missiles six military lookout posts and facilities located in eastern Gaza Strip, not far from the border with Israel.

No injuries were reported, but the posts were completely destroyed.

The demonstrators in the marches have been calling on Israel to lift a blockade that has been imposed on the Gaza Strip. More than 200 Palestinians were killed since the weekly rallies started on March 30.
