Netherlands supports Tunisia in fighting against terrorism, extremism

TUNIS, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Tunisia will benefit from a fund of 2.8 billion euros (3.19 billion U.S. dollars) from the Netherlands to fight against terrorism and extremism, Dutch Foreign Minister Stef Blok announced here on Thursday.

On an official visit to Tunisia at the invitation of his Tunisian counterpart Khemaies Jhinaoui, Blok reiterated his country's willingness to support Tunisia in various areas including agriculture, economy, transportation, security, trade and technology.

Blok assured that his country is willing to support the Tunisian leadership throughout the next stage in order to achieve its economic recovery, regional development, reduction of unemployment rate and the amortization of regional disparities.
