The local farmers are organized in recent years in a campaign to create a combination of trade company plus production coop plus farmer organism in order to streamline the marketing of chrysanthemum, a traditional Chinese medicine herb. The county, with over 4000mu (about 266 hectares) of chrysanthemum plantation, expects a revenue of 40 million yuan (about 5.7 million U.S. dollars) , meaning 15,000 yuan ( about 2,200 US dollars) for every farmer, out of the herb production this year.
