Defending champion Liaoning earns four-game CBA winning streak

BEIJING, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- With 6 players scoring double digit points, defending champion Liaoning beat Guangzhou 117-101 to earn four-game winning streak in the 15th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Friday.

Host Guangzhou led the first quarter 29-25, and Liaoning narrowed the deficit to only 1 point after the second quarter. Excellent performances by Lester Hudson and Guo Ailun help Liaoning reverse the game 88-72 after the third quarter, keping the lead to the end.

Hudson pocketed the team-high 27 points, Brandon Bass and Guo Ailun got 23 and 20 points. Kyle Fogg shot 27 points for Guangzhou and Chen Yingjun had 25 points.

Beijing beat Sichuan 87-73 on the road to get nine-game CBA winning streak, and Justin Hamilton scored game-high 22 points and 9 rebounds for Beijing.

Sichuan led the game in the first quarter with 18-14, but Beijing overturned the game to lead 10 points after the third quarter. Hamilton and Liu Xiaoyu helped Beijing seal the victory.

Beijing's Zhai Xiaochuan and Liu Xiaoyu grabbed 18 and 11 points. Jamaal Franklin and Jason Thompson combined 42 points for Sichuan.

Elsewhere, Bayi lost to Xinjiang 111-96, Fujian edged Jilin 104-101, Qingdao was beaten by Shanghai 114-107, Shenzhen smashed Shandong 116-91, Guangsha beat Tianjin 125-103.
