British runner wins int'l marathon in Vietnam

HANOI, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Lee Grantham from the UK, a world elite ultra-marathon athlete, won the title of the 2018 International Ha Long Bay Heritage Marathon on Sunday in Vietnam's northern Quang Ninh province.

Vietnamese Nguyen Tien Hung, who finished first at the China-ASEAN International Marathon in November, ranked the second.

Nearly 2,000 runners from over 60 countries and regions competed in four categories, including 5km, 10km, half marathon and marathon.

The running course was named one of the best around the globe by the Runner's World UK magazine.
