RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Former Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari revealed he has received an offer to take charge of Colombia's national team.

Colombia has been searching for a manager since the resignation of Argentine Jose Pekerman in September.

"I have an invitation, yes, but it's something that I need to think about carefully," Scolari said during an interview broadcast on Brazilian television.

Since guiding Brazil to victory at the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea, Scolari has filled coaching roles in five different countries. Among them was a spell as Portugal boss and a second stint in charge of Brazil.

Last week he guided Palmeiras to their 10th Brazilian Serie A title, having taken on the job in July when they were sixth in the standings.

"In the last 20 or 25 years I've probably spent about 80% of my time outside of Brazil," the 70-year-old said. "There is the matter of my family and also the other family, which is Palmeiras."
