Buducnost beat Barcelona 67-64 in 11th round of Euroleague

BELGRADE, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Montenegro's Buducnost stunned Barcelona 67-64 in Podgorica on Thursday, enjoying their third win in the basketball Euroleague.

Earl Clark and Alen Omic answered to Barcelona's efficient field goals and grabbed early lead for Buducnost. The guest team got even with a 7-0 series and went to the break with a one-point advantage thanks to the field goal of Thomas Heurtel in the last second of the first period.

Danilo Nikolic scored a three-pointer early in the second quarter and another 5 consecutive points to keep Buducnost on top at 24-21. Heurtel reduced Buducnost's 5-point lead with a three-pointer, while Adam Hanga reduced it back to just one point at 28-27.

Barcelona started the second half with 2-advantage and easily expanded it in a series to 31-37, but once again the home team managed to catch-up and keep the uncertainty until the final quarter.

Buducnost managed to take the lead in the final minutes thanks to the three-pointer of Nemanja Gordic for 62-59 and kept it until the end.

Earl Clark and Nemanja Gordic were best in the Montenegrin team with 12 points each, while Hanga was most efficient in Barcelona's ranks with 12 points.

Buducnost will play the next match against Gran Canaria, while Barcelona will take on Real Madrid as guests.
