CHINA-SICHUAN-YIBIN-EARTHQUAKE (CN)

The epicenter was monitored at 28.24 degrees north latitude and 104.95 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 12 km, the center said. (Xinhua)

BEIJING, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- A 5.7-magnitude earthquake jolted the county of Xingwen in Yibin City, Sichuan Province at 12:46 p.m. Sunday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 28.24 degrees north latitude and 104.95 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 12 km, the center said.
