TIANJIN, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Nippon Paint (China) has signed an investment agreement with Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area to build a high-end industrial coating project in the north municipality of Tianjin.
With a total investment of around 960 million yuan (139 million U.S. dollars), the project will be set in Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone, covering an area of 193,000 square meters, according to the agreement signed earlier this week.
Nippon Paint (China), the local branch of Singapore-based Nipsea Group, the largest paints and coating manufacturer in Asia by sales revenue, entered the Chinese market in 1992.
Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone, under the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area, is located in the southeast of the city's Binhai new area. It is 45 km away from the downtown and 40 km from the airport.
