The lower part of the combo photo taken on Dec. 12, 2018 shows Qiao Xuewu standing in front of his taxi at a charging station for electric vehicles in Futian District of Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province. The 47-year-old Qiao Xuewu came to Shenzhen and became a taxi driver in 2001. He witnessed the taxi industry in Shenzhen transforming from fuel power to electric power. Migrant workers have contributed their strengths and talents to the development of cities in the past 40 years of China's reform and opening-up. They worked very hard to improve their professional skills and thus change their life. At the same time, the cities they worked in have also accepted them as citizens and rewarded them in various ways. (Xinhua/Ma Ping)
