Chinese railway police nab 257 fugitives during New Year holiday

BEIJING, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese railway police have apprehended 257 fugitives during the three-day holiday ending Tuesday, according to the railway public security bureau.

During the period, railway police busted five gangs for scalping tickets, arrested 166 scalpers, and confiscated 107,000 inflammable, explosive or dangerous items, the bureau said.
