JERUSALEM, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- Israel's taxation and economic section of the State Attorney's Office informed Thursday the supermodel and television host Bar Refaeli that prosecuting her is considered, subject to a hearing, on suspicion of concealing over 29 million new shekels (about 7.75 million U.S. dollars).

According to the State Attorney's Office, it also considers the indictment of Refaeli's parents, for money laundering offenses.

The investigation revealed that in years 2006-2007, the supermodel reported to the Israeli tax authorities that she does not live in Israel and therefore did not declare income from her work abroad.

Regarding these years, Bar and her mother Zipi Refaeli are suspected of concealing about six million new shekels (about 1.6 million U.S. dollars) from the tax reports.

According to suspicions, Bar Refaeli rented and bought apartments in Israel during those years, but to prevent a tax decision in which the center of her life is in Israel, she hid her name from the housing records, with the help of her mother.

It was also found that between 2009 and 2012, Bar Refaeli established companies and opened bank accounts worldwide, where her revenues were deposited.

The Attorney's Office stated that according to the reports submitted by Bar and her parents, she had no income in Israel these years, and was a foreign resident.

At the same time, Bar allegedly reported to the U.S. tax authorities that she lives in Israel.

The revenues for which the concealment operations were carried out during 2009-2012 reached more than 23 million new shekels (6.15 million U.S. dollars).

In addition, the mother is suspected of omitting three million new shekels (802,000 U.S. dollars) in commissions she received as her daughter's agent.

The two are also suspected of hiding barter deals, such as an apartment purchase and using luxury vehicles in exchange for advertising and public relations.

Bar Refaeli's lawyers stated that she had not committed any offense and that they are convinced that after hearing, it will be decided that there's no need for criminal proceeding.
