BEIJING, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- China received about 1.54 million applications of invention patents in 2018, according to the annual statistics of the National Intellectual Property Administration (NIPA) on Thursday.
Of the total 432,000 applications that were authorized with patents, 346,000 were domestic ones, according to NIPA.
NIPA said 64.3 percent of the domestic invention patents applications came from enterprises.
The average duration of the domestic valid invention patents reached 6.4 years.
By the end of 2018, there were about 1.6 million invention patents from the Chinese mainland, 11.5 patents for every 10,000 people.
