Qatari, Omani FMs meet in Doha over regional cooperation

DOHA, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met with his Omani counterpart Yusuf bin Alawi and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Abdullatif Al Zayani here on Saturday.

The three officials discussed the course of the GCC cooperation as well as issues of mutual concern, said the Qatari foreign ministry's media office in a statement.

Bin Alawi and Zayani arrived earlier on Saturday for an unannounced visit on the eve of an expected visit by U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
