KHARTOUM -- At least 14 people were killed on Sunday in a traffic accident in western Sudan, an official of Sudanese North Darfur State said.

LOS ANGELES -- One person was dead and another 12 taken to hospital in a mass overdose case in Chico, a Northern California city, local media reported Sunday, saying the drug that victims took could be a form of fentanyl mixed with another unknown substance.

TRIPOLI -- UN Special Envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame on Sunday visited southern Libya for the first time since taking office in July 2017, where he met with tribal elders, academics and local activists.

DOHA -- Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Sunday ordered to set up a fund of 20 million U.S. dollars to evacuate African immigrants in Libya to their home countries.

TRIPOLI -- Libyan Red Crescent Society on Sunday recovered seven bodies of immigrants off the shore of the city of Sirte, local media reported.
