RIYADH, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia denied on Monday news report about plans to reopen its embassy in the Syrian capital Damascus, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The Foreign Ministry said the media reports quoting Saudi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Assaf about the reopening of the embassy was baseless.
The United Arab Emirates announced late last year the reopening of its embassy in Syria seven years after withdrawing its diplomatic mission.
