PISCO, Peru, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Sebastien Loeb clinched his fourth stage win of the Dakar Rally as Qatari Nasser Al-Attiyah moved closer to his third titile on Tuesday.

Loeb completed the 360km timed section from San Juan de Marcona to Pisco in three hours, 54 minutes and 53 seconds in his private Peugeot, almost seven and a half minutes quicker than the Toyota of second-placed Al-Attiyah.

Poland's X-Raid driver Jakub Przygonski was third, some 15 minutes behind.

Al-Attiyah now leads the overall standings by more than 46 minutes with two days remaining.

"We have lost an hour and 20 minutes since the start due to one reason or another," nine-time world rally champion Loeb said.

"This stage win doesn't make up for it [the mistakes], but it isn't finished yet. It's out of my hands but we shall carry on."

Meanwhile, Australian Toby Price took the lead in the motorbike category by claiming third spot in Tuesday's stage. Red Bull KTM teammate Matthias Walkner of Austria was the day's fastest rider, finishing 45 seconds ahead of Chile's Husqvarna entrant Pablo Quintanilla.
