BEIJING, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- Powerhouse Guangdong reaped their sixth straight win by beating Bayi 103-86 in the 33rd round of the 2018-2019 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league action on Sunday.
Zhou Peng of Guangdong scored the game-high 26 points as the home team led as many as 28 points in the first half. Zeng Fanri and Ren Junfei contributed 14 and 12 points respectively.
Lei Meng of Bayi scored the team-high 21 points.
Guangdong kept leading the CBA while Bayi suffered 27 losses to tail at the league.
Shanxi recovered from a sluggish first quarter being 22-17 down to edge Jiangsu 114-110. Bobby Brown of Shanxi earned the game-high 43 points, as well as 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Miroslav Radulica and Hou Yifan combined for 60 points for the visitors.
Jilin defeated Xinjiang 110-98. Five Jilin players scored double figures, with Maciej Lampe in particular, who grabbed the game-high 32 points and 16 rebounds. Hamed Haddadi had only 10 points for Xinjiang.
Elsewhere, Fujian defeat Guangzhou 127-114, Shanghai beat Aolong 116-106, Beijing lost to Zhejiang 100-99, Shenzhen edged off Tianjin 107-93, Guangsha beat Qingdao 106-99.
