WASHINGTON, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- The Brooklyn Nets announced on Saturday that the club will waive forward Kenneth Faried.
Faried was originally acquired by the Nets via trade with the Denver Nuggets last summer. In 12 games this season with Brooklyn, Faried averaged 5.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.
Brooklyn now rank sixth in the East Conference standings with 24 wins and 23 defeats.
