Israeli soldiers shoot dead Palestinian teen in West Bank

RAMALLAH, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Israeli soldiers on Friday evening shot dead a 16-year-old Palestinian teenager near the village of Silwad close to the West Bank city of Ramallah, the Palestinian Authority health ministry said.

According to a ministry press statement, the body of the killed teenager, identified as Ayman Hammed, is still kept by the Israeli soldiers.

Another teenager was wounded in the arm and transferred to the Ramallah government hospital, the statement said.

There has been no immediate comment on the incident from the Israeli army.
