MEXICO CITY, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Diego Maradona has returned to Mexico to coach second division club Dorados de Sinaloa after recovering from a health scare.

The 53-year-old was released from hospital in Argentina's capital Buenos Aires on January 13 following surgery to stem bleeding in his stomach.

"We are giving our all because we have created a group to be promoted [to first division]. That's what we want," Maradona told reporters upon arriving at Mexico City airport on Friday.

Dorados will play away at Potros UAEM on Saturday and Maradona is expected to travel to the city of Toluca with the team for the match.

The 1986 World Cup winner took charge of the club in September, guiding them to the playoffs following six wins in seven matches.
