JAKARTA, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- Singapore, Brunei and Laos have pulled out of the 2019 AFF U-22 championship, the organization has revealed.

The three teams did not appear on the AFF's revised schedule of matches for the regional tournament.

Group A consists of Thailand, Vietnam, Timor-Leste and the Philippines, with Group B comprising Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar and hosts Cambodia.

With the three teams having pulled out, the schedules for semifinal and final matches have been changed from February 27 and March 1 to February 24 and 26 respectively.

The revised schedule sees the tournament staged from February 17 to 26.

Previously, on January 22, the AFF announced the withdrawal of Singapore and Brunei from the tournament, with Laos following suit in recent days.

Indonesia's U-22 coach Indra Sjafri expressed his disappointment over the three nations' decision to withdraw, though he added that this would not affect Indonesia's preparations for the regional tournament.
