MUSCAT, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Oman's football federation (PFA) has accepted the resignation of national team coach Pem Verbek.
This came during an emergency meeting of the Board of Directors of the Federation at its headquarters on Wednesday evening.
A statement from the federation's board said that the Dutch coach has cited special circumstances for his resignation, and the board accepted during the meeting.
The statement confirmed that assistant coach Verbak Omani Mohanna Saeed Al-Adawi will assume the duties of the coach during the next phase until a contract can be reached with a new coach.
